Holiday Wishes
Dear gorgeous readers,
As I write this, I’m sitting at my desk (recently purchased on Facebook Marketplace, thank you very much Mark Zuckerberg. …I mean, not directly, it’s not his desk, but he helped, so thanks Mark).
Anyway, I’m at the aforementioned new desk, sipping my coffee and occasionally glancing out the window at the beautifully frost-covered ground. It’s a chilly one here in South Carolina, but the sun is starting to break through, and I have a feeling it’s going to be a stunning day.
I’m very excited to be heading back to England next week for Christmas. It will be so lovely to spend time with my family and friends, whom I miss dearly. I’ll also be running a small clinic in Wiltshire at a yard where I was based for a while after moving back to the UK from Denmark in 2015. I can’t quite believe that was nearly 11 years ago. (I know, I know, I look like I haven’t aged a day!)
I absolutely loved my time in Denmark, working for and training with Hasse Hoffmann. That period brings back so many fond memories. Interestingly, there’s been a lot of energy around that chapter of my life recently. Twemlows Stud reached out to let me know that my mare Poppy (whom I gifted to them seven years ago as a surrogate mare) has done a wonderful job, and they no longer need her. I always knew this day would come, when I’d receive the call asking whether I wanted to take her back or if they should put her to sleep.
Poppy will be 18 next year and is in great health. So I reached out to my dear friend Ben, who has a small stud in Wiltshire and whom I met back in 2015, when Poppy, Pringle (my darling dog), and I returned to the UK. Funnily enough, it’s the very same yard where I’ll be running my clinic on the 27th of December!
And I’m delighted to share that Ben will be collecting Poppy from Twemlows tomorrow, and she’ll go to live out with his broodmares. This also means I’ll be able to visit her while I’m home. Who knows, perhaps she’ll have one more foal, and this time one of her own, as she’s always carried for other mares. She’s Dutch and very well bred, so it could be an exciting prospect!
On another note, I’m currently looking for a campaign manager here in the States to help me work towards securing a sponsorship deal on the road to LA 2028. If you have experience in campaigning (or know someone who does) and feel passionate about my story, please do get in touch.
While I’m here, I’d also love to share a manifestation card I drew this morning from The Secret, as I’ve truly seen the power of this in my own life:
“Perfect health is yours. The path to eradicating disease is not to fight it. You get what you focus on, so if your focus is on fighting the disease, you will attract more of that. Keep your mind focused on health and well-being in your thoughts and words, and imagine yourself completely healthy and well.”
I hope you all have a very happy Christmas and New Year. Remember, never stop dreaming and believing. Go and do that thing you’ve been putting off for ages, and who knows what, where or to who it might lead you.
